Hungry Dragon was my first job in the industry. I entered Ubisoft Barcelona Mobile as a Junior QA, testing the game and familiarizing myself with every department and role. In one year I was promoted to Mid QA and was given more responsibilities, including managing the Hungry Dragon QA team and leading the communications with Ubisoft Bucharest QA Team.
From the second year I also was mentored personally by the Lead Game Designer of the team in order to transition from QA to Game Design. During this time I was heavily involved in Live Ops design along with the Economy Designer of the team, creating and setting up thematic events and tournaments. The third year I started getting Junior Game Designer tasks. My main responsibilities included: balancing the new dragons, crafting their skins & lore with Marketing and Art teams and designing a proposal for the stats screen, where players could check each Dragon backstory, strengths and oddities. |
